The good, the bad and the beautiful

I went to talk to the salon owner this evening. I had to tell her I would love to rent the 2nd floor, I just don't have the money that she is asking. Not yet anyway. After a little discussion, she offered to accept a percentage of what I bring in rather than a flat rate. I of course accepted, but nothing can happen until the room is finished. I had already offered to finish the room. Which will happen after the new year. I guess it will be two full days of work to finish it. Which might buy me a few free days of use.

I also got a call back from the local pool manager. It's an indoor pool and just reopened last fall. He rents it out to private parties during the week. Once I get him the info for the makeup our models will be wearing, and he approves I will have access to a pool to shoot pictures in. SOOOOO COOOOL.

When my daughter went to school, she asked her teacher if she wanted me to take pictures of her and her visiting sister. It touched the teacher so much that she called me (as class was starting) to say thank you. After a few minutes of conversation, come to find out her visiting sister is an Elite Model out of Los Angeles. Sensing an opportunity, I asked if I could arrange a meeting with her sister. I would love to talk to another talent that is in the industry. I have a few questions that I would love to ask. So far, no return call. But she's here for another week so my hope is still up.

Sometimes it feels like prom. Will she call. Won't she call. Will she call......
