Opportunity knocks
Anyway. HG buys bags (1200 pounds) of coffee beans and they will roast them and grind them to your pleasure. They suggest only roasting, but if you really want the beans ground they will do it. (It's all in the name of freshness). I saw a dozen or more types of beans and you throw in a specific roast (light, medium, dark or anything in between) then a grind, coarse, medium, fine, etc. You can have yourself a nice cup-o-joe. Once you get your perfect blend, they will keep it on a card and all you do is call 'em up and it will be ready for you when you get there.
So, what's that have to do with me?
I am always looking for an opportunity. I approached them to do some environmental portraits. Them in the store, serving customers. The product (coffee beans) being stored, roasted and served. We talked about a few different ideas. I will take some pictures for free. If they will let me put up some pictures in their store. The pictures will be available for sale, but mostly, be an advertisement to my skills.....HEY, stop laughing. I have skills. I do. Plus the "advertising" can't hurt.
Anyway, they agreed. I will probably stop in Saturday morning to do my first shoot. I suppose it will take several days to get everything we want, but I figure it's time well spent. Knocking on doors and building relationships.
